After an extensive upgrade spree, the owner had almost achieved the desired result. A set of IronGear pickups (Rolling Mill overwound in the neck and a Tesla Shark in the bridge) had it roaring but uneven frets were really letting it down on the playability front.

I really enjoy taking a cheaper guitar and making it play like an expensive one – having the upgraded hardware and electronics is lovely icing on the cake.
